The
Jacksonville Menu revolutionizes online dining guides, 3 mouse clicks to a
menu.
Jacksonville, FL.
10/21/04
Wouldn’t it be great if you
could search for a restaurant, sandwich shop, or caterer
in Jacksonville on the
internet and get right to their menu in 3 mouse clicks? Well you will by
12/07/04.
Computer
Point of Jacksonville has created “The Jacksonville Menu” a
website that enables the end user to easily get the menu of a specific
restaurant, in a specific area of Jacksonville within 3 clicks of a mouse button.
“When we are through with
the construction of the website (target date of 12/07/04),our
goal is to have every restaurant, diner, or sandwich shop in town have
their menu on this website”. said Jeff Gatti of Computer Point. “When an
end user starts an internet search for dining in Jacksonville they may
type “Chinese in Jacksonville” or whatever the cuisine might be into a
search engine, “The Jacksonville Menu” will
be
in the search results. All
they do then is pick the area they are in from the map and what
they want to eat. If you
can read and type with one finger, you can navigate through this website.
There is nothing like this concept on the web; this easy and this fast to
get your hands on a restaurant menu in about 3 clicks. Jacksonville will be boasting the
most innovative online dining directory that the world has ever seen,
and just in time for the Super Bowl”.
Computer
Point is a home grown Jacksonville based IT consulting firm
that for over 12 years has been serving clients network and e-commerce
related needs in our city. When they moved to a new location in March of
2004 they ran into a dilemma; they didn’t know where to go to get
something to eat for lunch on this side of town. They tried searching the web and
found places, but knew not what they had on their menu or even if they
were any good. Thus the idea for “The Jacksonville Menu” was born.
“This website serves a
multi purpose” Gatti continues, “Each eating establishment in Jacksonville
has its own unique niche, “The Jacksonville Menu” will
easily show the public what these eating establishments have to offer,
fast.”
“It will benefit waitresses in turning
tables faster because the customer will know what they want to eat before
they walk in the door. It will benefit the restaurant owner by
enabling them to get their message out even if they don’t have a
website. It will save them
money on printing menus since they will always have one available. Most of
all, however, it will benefit
everybody in our city that is looking for a place to eat, type of
cuisine, or a specific dish. I can’t tell you how many times I have
searched for a restaurant menu at home, and at work and couldn’t find it.
This completely solves that
problem and many others. In one year from now I predict that everybody
will be using “The Jacksonville Menu”.
Visit www.jaxmenu.com although under
construction until 12/07/04, you will see how simple dining on the web
will become in Jacksonville.
